My collegiate goal at this point is to find the right school match to get me from where I am now to where I want to be in the future. This includes finding a school that supports my interests both in and out of class, a place where I can surround myself with people who share the values I find important, and a place that can provide opportunities for me to create a great life for myself and someday my family.
I believe I would make a good candiate for a college team for several reasons, the first being the simple fact that I love the game of baseball. Of course loving the game isn't enough. I work hard, I support my teamamates, and I listen to my coaches. I look for opportunities to become better and I try to surround myself with people that can help me as much as I hope to help them become better in all things.
I don't know if this makes me different from other recruits but I can tell you that I am an "old fashioned" kind of kid. My parents set extrememly high expectations for me and I try to meet those expectations. I love the community I live in and I am appreciative of the support I get from nearly everyone who lives here. I show respect for people that I respect, and I show pride in my school, my family, and my town.
I work extremely hard in all athletics and other activities I am involved in. This past year I played basketball for the first time and was given the award for the hardest working athlete as well as the team member that made everyone else worker harder to be better. I don't participate in things just to be busy or have something to do. I play ball because I love it, I work hard at it because I want to get better. I play in band because I believe my parents when they tell me it is important. I get involved in my church because I know it's right and important. I get good grades because I know that's what will help me get into a good college and I am going to college because I want a great future.
I know that where ever I end up going to school, I will contribute as much to my team and my school as I will take away.
I am a pretty basic, good, hard working, and honest kid with a little talent, a lot of drive, and a support team that won't stop until I get to the best place I can be.
