Caleb Griffin '16 Recruiting Profile

A statement that I live by is: if people around you aren't laughing at your goals, your goals are too small. It has always been my goal to play baseball in college, even before I recognized that I might possess the skills to achieve such a goal. During the offseason going into my sophomore year of high school, I decided that I no longer wanted to be an average pitcher, but I wanted to be above average. I worked harder than I ever have before, and this hard work, dedication, and perseverance has brought me great success. Much more than I, at one point in my career, had ever imagined. Along with hard work, I also take my character seriously, and I always try to set a good example, because you never know who might be looking up to you, watching all of your actions, good or bad, and learning from them. Academically speaking, my hard work in baseball rolls over into the classroom. I have maintained a 3.8 to a 4.0 GPA my entire high school career. With all of this being said, I am more than willing to commit to a baseball program at a college, and do whatever it takes, by placing forth any and every effort possible to be the best that I can be for my team.
