I have been described by coaches and fellow players as "a real gamer.” I make plays, and I don’t let a critical game situation bother me. In fact, the more pressure in a situation, the better I tend to perform. At age 14, my coach put me in to close the final game of the USSSA AAA Missouri State Championship for the Sedalia Bandits. I threw up strikes and let the defense help us on to an amazing victory. My dream is to join a program where I can have a similar experience in college.
You have probably heard this before, but I LOVE this game and have dreamed of playing at the next level for years. I have played 70+ games a season since I was 10, which has given me a game awareness that I know will show in my play when I get to college.
I run the bases aggressively, pride myself on playing great defense in multiple middle-infielder positions and can throw a runner out at home from practically anywhere on the field. I love this game, and I will be an asset to your team. I am from a very small town without local, year-round baseball opportunities, so I have sought them out, and have driven over an hour to practice many times. I continue to work on improving my strength, running speed, bat speed and hitting while keeping up academically (I'm taking a challenging course schedule during this, my junior year, with four weighted classes).
I know I will continue to grow and improve a lot in college with regular coaching, practice and work. I am doing everything I can to be prepared for college both in the classroom and on the field. If you sign me to your program you will not be disappointed.
