Personal Statement

I’ve been playing baseball for as long as I can remember. Ever since I stepped foot on a baseball field I’ve had the dream to play at the next level.

Throughout my high school career, I’ve had to overcome my smaller size and prove my playing ability. As a Sophomore I made the reserve team at the start of the season but after the first game, I was moved on to the JV to play MIF and pitch. As a Junior, I started Varsity 2nd baseman, filled in at shortstop, and was brought in as a relief pitcher when needed. As a pitcher, the coaches had faith in me to get our team out of tough situations. At times I was able to end the inning by overcoming the bases loaded on a one or zero-out situation.

Following my Junior year, I was able to really show my versatility and speed by also playing outfield, in addition to midfield on the summer Legion team. My heart lies at mid-infield as this was my main spot most of my baseball career however you will find that I am willing to do whatever I need to help the team succeed. I continue to work and grow as a baseball player in the hopes of making my dreams of being a collegiate baseball player a reality. I chose to try out for a team and was fortunate to be selected to play for the Nebraska Prospects Yardyboyz team for the fall season. This team and the coaches provided me with more tools to improve my skills on both sides of the ball and capitalize on my speed, in turn, I was invited to play in the Arizona Senior Fall Classic for the Beast Baseball team.

As I have gone through my high school career I have started pushing myself more academically knowing that academics is the first priority and being a student-athlete highly depends on excelling in the classroom. Once I get to the next level I want to make sure I can get a quality education. I’ve had many coaches tell me that I’m beyond capable of playing at the next level. I have taken that to heart and ever since I've been grinding on and off the field to be successful. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to play at the next level.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
