Joseph Birri '15 Recruiting Profile

I am 5'5" and I currently weigh 125 lbs. As a catcher, my current pop time is averaged at 2.2 seconds. I live, eat, and breathe baseball. I am 15 years old and have 11 years of baseball experience. I have played on two USSSA traveling teams. I have been drafted to the All-Star team from age nine to age 14 (three years in Little League and two years in Babe Ruth). I made the decision to decline the Babe Ruth All-Star selection for the 2012 season in Klamath Falls, Oregon because my family recently relocated to Carson City, Nevada. I am a dependable, dedicated athlete and strive for perfection every time I am on and off the field. I believe in myself, as I am the first to get to the field and the last to leave. During my downtime, I enjoy mentoring younger players who express an interest in baseball (especially the catchers). A current athletic goal is to achieve a starting position on the varsity high school team and strive to be nominated and play on an All-State high school division baseball team. It is my goal to play baseball in college by being accepted to an accredited university that can further develop my skills in baseball and is adequate with my current academic plan. In order to achieve this goal, my plan is to graduate high school with an accumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. My desired major is civil engineering and to minor in business management.
