Hello all, my name is Christopher Paolino Jr (CJ). I am a 5’11” catcher from Little Silver, NJ. I’m 17 years old and a junior in high school. Academically, I have a 4.0 GPA and have been challenging myself all throughout high school. I’ve taken all honors classes and am currently taking multiple AP/IB courses this year, the first year they were made available. Every marking period of every school year, from middle school leading up until the current marking period, I have made it on high honor roll with the exception of two marking periods (which I was on honor roll). I am a very conscientious, respectful, and hardworking student that will do whatever it takes to excel. Athletically, I have been playing the game of baseball since I was 8 years old (primarily catching). As a freshman in high school, I was the starting varsity catcher and led my team in RBIs. I am humbled to say that I have a variety of strengths, both on and off the field. I have strong awareness skills, am a team leader, extremely vocal, and enjoy the mental game of baseball. I’ve been playing baseball for the majority of my life, and know that I could continue playing into college. Catching always interested me because of the fact that I am involved in every play, making key contributions in various situations. My goals for the future are to play Division I baseball, receive a stellar education, and graduate being able to say that I put everything I could into my craft. I would love to continue to play baseball after college, potentially at the professional level. If it does not work out this way, then I would also love to work in a field of study in which I could thrive, personally and professionally.
