Personal Statement

My rowing journey began as a little girl making fairy houses from sticks at my older brother's regattas. He started rowing when I was 3 years old and I have so many fond memories of cheering for him and then my two older sisters.  Finally the summer after 8th grade it was my turn! The feel of rowing is like no other and I love every hour of the grind for a few minutes of glory on the water. I have been fortunate to row in all boat classes and though I love the speed of an 8, my favorite was bow seat of the 4-. A couple of rowing highlights? Being invited to US Rowing Selection in Chula Vista in 2022, winning gold at Summer Nationals and then winding down the summer with sculling at Craftsbury... Blair Academy's 2023 Spring season was amazing! My boat had the best 'let's DO THIS' attitude and we just lifted each other up, pushed each other harder... and won Stotesbury Cup, MidAtlantics, Scholastic Nationals and A final at Youth Nationals in June. Summer 2023 is in full swing and I am so excited to be representing Team USA in Paris!

Training

  • Cross training including running, soccer, sailing, Irish Dance

  • I love to be active and enjoy competing against myself which is why I love to run. I incorporate competitive Irish Step Dance (great cardio and stamina) which is so incredibly fun! My love for rowing actually started with sailing which I have done since I was 7 years old... imagine being in 1st grade and on the water, alone, in charge of navigating your own course...

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
