Personal Statement
I am a hard-working and dedicated student-athlete. I understand the importance of my education and study hard in order to be successful with my academics. In college, I plan to major in Athletic Training. I would then like to pursue graduate work in Sports Medicine. With regards to athletics, I have always been passionate about the game of baseball. I am very serious about my training and I am a team player. I work hard to perform my best for my team and believe that my job is to help my team win. From the time I was very young, I have been brought up by my parents to believe that the name on the front of my jersey is much more important than my name on the back. I also feel strongly about what I believe is my responsibility to give back to my community. As a result, I volunteer with our local Buddy Ball (Little League baseball program for handicapped children), TOPSoccer (local Soccer Association program for handicapped children), as well as volunteering with our local Elks Lodge during their Annual Handicapped Children's Summer Picnic, and at the Schroth School (Cerebral Palsy Center of Monmouth County). I also volunteer at the Annual Elks Foundation National Hoop Shoot. I volunteer and participate in our local Point Pleasant Relay for Life (American Cancer Society) and am an active member of my high school's Key Club and Student Ambassador Club. At the present, I am enjoying my high school experience and I look forward to attending college to pursue my academic goals, as well as having the opportunity to continue playing the game that I love at the college level.
