Baseball is my passion. I started playing t-ball when I was just four years old and have not stopped.
As an eighth grader at Bronxville Middle School I was moved up to the Varsity baseball team. In order to “officially” move up, I had to pass a demanding test of physical fitness. It was not easy (especially running the mile in under 6 min 50 sec) but I put in the work. I grinded and persevered. There was no way I was going to let the opportunity pass me by. It has been an invaluable experience to learn from my much older teammates, as well as all the coaches (past and present) who have helped me to improve my game. In addition to the school varsity team, I have been an integral part of many other baseball travel teams.
At 6’2” at only fourteen, I continue to grow each day physically, academically and emotionally. Working out has become a priority as I realize building muscle is an important part of achieving my goals of playing baseball at a higher level. I play in the field at both first and third base, both of which I enjoy. Achieving in the classroom is another priority in my life. I am currently enrolled in an all honors curriculum and consistently strive to do my best. In my role as a pitcher, I have learned the importance of mental toughness. This realization has significantly helped to raise my game to another level.
Baseball is so much a part of who I am as a person. It enriches my life regularly and I will do whatever it takes to play ball at the next level. My ultimate goal is to enroll in a school where athletes are dedicated and outstanding members of the community.
