PrepStar has identified middle-infielder Jace Stenson as a top regional prospect in the class of 2026. Jace is a versatile defensive prospect with the ability to play shortstop, catcher, and pitcher. Offensively the right-handed batting Stenson is a consistent line drive gap hitter. His swing is smooth and powerful. In the field, Jace has soft hands with good range. He has tremendous upside potential as he continues to fill out his already athletic frame. In the classroom, Jace is an excellent student with a 3.96. I would say the strong point of my game is my IQ. Playing shortstop I'm always thinking and always on my toes. Before every pitch, I'm thinking about where am I going if it's hit to me or what do I do if it's hit away from me. Playing catcher I know what type of hitter is at the plate and I know what pitch to call to help out my pitcher. I never hesitate when on the field I always know where to go with the ball.
