Personal Statement
The most important things in my life are God, family, baseball, academics, and training/working out.
I love baseball and pitching is my passion. Baseball has been a part of my life since I was 1½ trying to hit home runs over the railing in our living room.
I was also a competitive swimmer and that, along with baseball, has taught me that hard work will produce positive results.
Some qualities I can bring to a team is hard work, mental and moral toughness, a good teammate, and am very coachable. Living in North Dakota I spend 7 months of the year working on baseball, on my own, 7 days a week. This certainly tests my drive and mental toughness. Also my mental toughness was evident in throwing a perfect game and a 3 hitter in winning back-to-back state championships.
Control what you can control, is my pitching strategy. Only what is happening now, not in the past or future.
I am dedicated to my academics carrying a 4.0 GPA and taking advanced classes every year.
I started playing summer travel baseball at age 9 and have pitched in a regional tournament (age 11) and a World Series (age 12). I will now be playing spring high school baseball and summer American Legion baseball.
My goal is to play college baseball and I feel I will prove to be a well-rounded student athlete to any program. I am open to a variety of opportunities.
