Jake Downey - Cat...Personal Statement
I have loved baseball since day one and my love for the sport has never faded. I love grinding and getting better every day and watching the results. I take pride in my work ethic, attitude, and talent. Baseball is my passion and always will number one in my life. I would say my most unique trait as a player is being able to give all my attention to a coach and really take in what they are providing me and make the adjustment whether that be on the field, in the cage or in the weight room. I am fully committed to this sport and what comes with it including academics. I have dedicated my life solely to baseball in order to achieve the goals I have set. As a player, I enjoy stealing strikes as a catcher and building trusting relationships with pitchers as well as excelling in various other positions including SS, 3B, and OF. One of my favorite parts of the game is being smart and aggressive on the base paths.
