Andrew Olson 2026...Personal Statement
I’m Andrew Olson - I attend Defiance High School, am an honor roll student, and play baseball and football. I play 1st base and sometimes I DH. I'm 6'4'’ and weigh 310 lbs (I’m working with a trainer to get that down). I love baseball and I will run through any obstacle to better myself at it. The work is FUN for me. If solid work goes in, results come out, I have always thought. For a few years, I battled an autoimmune disease and baseball was the only connection I had with people outside of my home. It was vital to me and got me through a very difficult time. The people I work with have made it even better: my teammates, my coaches, and my multi-batting-title hitting coach, they have all made my baseball career into an amazing experience that I want to continue into the future. - Richard Schropp hosted a skills competition for different age groups in honor of MLB player Tom Matchick. I won the 14u age group championship based on eight fielding, running, and hitting drills. The highlight of my home run derby hitting was a 390-foot, over-the-fence home run.
