Hi my name is Ava Hesselschwardt and I am in the class of 2027 at Defiance High School. I started playing golf when I was 7 and began playing in tournaments when I was 11. Golf has become a passion to me. As of right now, my goals are to continue my playing career in college at a competitive school that’s a good fit for me athletically and academically. I’m a good team player and I am always looking to help others. I am kind and hardworking and will put in all the hard work it takes to become better, but not only in golf. I also like to set goals for myself in academics. I am a very confident player, and I do well under pressure. I highly enjoy competition and love a challenge. I would be so excited to be able to play golf in college and get to play against some very talented girls.
At my school, I participate in both Cheerleading and student council. I’ve served in student council since 7th grade and look forward to partaking in it for the rest of my high school career. In Cheerleading, we do a lot of community service and help with public service events and charities. I enjoy these things along with traveling with my family and trying new things. I take honors English and honors geometry. I also took advanced classes in 7th and 8th grade as well. My goal every quarter is to have a 4.0 GPA.
