Personal Statement

I have always wanted to play sports at the highest level possible!

Ever since I was eight years old I have wanted to be an elite baseball player and have practiced and trained as much as possible to attain this goal.  I have always played at a higher age level than my own and have excelled and been a leader on those teams.  I have learned how to play all positions and perform in all situations. Being able to play every position and hit in all situations has helped me develop into an invaluable asset for every team I have played on.

Playing multiple sports my entire life has helped me learn how to prepare, adapt, and play within a team atmosphere at a very high level. Being a high level four sport athlete (I currently play baseball, football, basketball, and hockey) has prepared me both mentally and physically to perform for extended periods of time and under extreme pressure. I have good leadership qualities and I am most often named as a captain of the teams I play on.

I think I would be a great collegiate baseball player because I have the drive and ambition to always be the best that I can.  Playing multiple sports at one time; maintaining good grades; maintaining a rigid training schedule; and working part time has allowed me to learn valuable time management skills. These skills will greatly help with managing both collegiate academics and collegiate athletics.

I approach everything I do with the same preparation and drive. This includes academics as I believe my academics are extremely important in the development of my overall future.
