Personal Statement

Hello Coaches -

My name is Logan Coderre; and I am currently an 9th grader at Tulpehocken Junior Senior High School. I was born on December 11th 2008 and I am 5’7” and 155 Lbs. I am a right-handed thrower and hitter. My favorite and main position on the field is catcher and secondary positions are third and second base because of my athleticism and ability to read the ball.

In school, just like on the field, I try my best in all my classes. All of my teachers have commented on my conscientiousness and respectfulness. My favorite subject is math, in fact, I am in an honors math class.

I have played ball since the age of four. To me baseball is all about family. My dad taught me the game and has been my coach since the beginning, he is my biggest supporter. Baseball is not just a sport to me, but a lifestyle. I have dreamed of playing in college for a long time. I would be an excellent catcher for any team I play for. I am a team player and support all my fellow teammates individually. I am known to be coachable and I am able to fix anything that a coach tells me.

I currently workout at Garage Strength, a training gym, in Fleetwood PA. I get trained by Olympians and their coaches. One of them is T’Mond Johnson who is a great coach/trainer and I respect him with all my heart. When I am not at Garage Strength I work on hitting and catching year round at Evolution Baseball in Wyomissing PA. My coach’s at Evolution, Zach Shirk and Troy Spiers. Coach Zach is also my High School coach for my team in Tulpehocken. He helps me with any small details that need improvement. I have a great work ethic and try my best every time. I play ball to have fun and to have a good time with my teammates. In the future I will attend college to study sports medicine.

Thank you for taking the time to read about me. I hope you all see the potential in me as others have in the past. I won't let you down.

  • My name is T’Mond Johnson and I’m the Director of Sports Performance at Garage Strength Sports Performance. We have been working with Logan for over a year now and have seen great progress in his athletic development. Over this time, we have seen him improve his strength, stability and overall coordination drastically since he began strength training. One of Logan’s best traits is that he is very attentive to details and can understand and apply coaching cues with little margin of error. With that, we believe he will be more than ready to play at the highest level of collegiate baseball in the coming years. Logan is an athlete that you will love working with because has the drive and determination to be great, and is willing to do whatever it takes to reach his goals!

  • My name is Phil Anderson and I am the head coach for Tulpehocken Jr. High Baseball. Logan is a tremendous teammate with great leadership skills. His ability to be positive and always have a great attitude is a trait I wish all his teammates had as well. Logan is tough and doesnt give up, he works hard at all aspects of his game. His catching ability is head and shoulders above his peers that play the same position. Logan is a joy to coach because he always does what is asked of him and even more, never once will you hear him complain about some of the tedious drills, we do during baseball season when we are stuck inside in the Northeast. During the tedious drills Logan always gives 100% and tries to help his teammates out the best he can. I know Logan has the heart and character, and work ethic to play at the next level and he would be a joy to have on your team.
