I always knew from the time I first started playing tournament baseball at the age of 7 that I wanted to be a baseball player especially a catcher. By the time I was 13, I was asked to play on an 18u team. My first year on the team I played back up catcher as well as second and third base. I worked hard and ever since I have been the starting catcher.
One of my favorite memories was catching for a former minor league pitcher when I was 15. I remember how fast he threw and how bad my hand hurt. I may have had my eyes closed the first throw because I was so nervous. I continue to catch for college pitchers when they are home on break.
I have not only grown on the baseball but field but have also grown in the classroom. I am a honors student and always am trying to stay on top of my grades. Everyday i put my best effort in the class because i know it’s going to help me in the long run.
The last thing is my family. I have 5 siblings, 2 brothers, and 3 sisters. We are all pretty close and get along. I am always willing to help my parents with my siblings or anything they need because of what they do for me for baseball and for school. I always thank them for everything they do because they do so much.
