After getting cut from the Chapin B team my 7th grade year, I became more determined than ever to work on my game. Getting cut showed me that failure is often the greatest teacher. Learning from your mistakes and correcting them is something that translates in whatever you’re doing in life. It is not only how you react in times of success, but more importantly in times of failure, that determines your character. From years of playing baseball and basketball I’ve learned that the two things you can control is your attitude and your effort. Eventually I achieved my goals of making the team and earning more and more playing time, and I hope to repeat achieving these goals through college.
Coming from a family of college athletes and coaches, I’ve grown up with a love for the game of baseball. My everyday mindset is to work diligently in everything I do and most importantly for the glory of God. Giving up is simply not an option. Precision and perfection is something I strive for in whatever I’m doing. Getting stronger physically and mentally does not come by taking shortcuts. Throughout my sports journey I have strived to be the best teammate I can be, spreading the light of Christ to everyone I meet.
