Brayden Franse - ...Personal Statement
I am a rising Junior at Fort Mill High School in Fort Mill, graded an 8 by Perfect Game and named 2019 Preseason Underclass All American. I have also been named to the 2018 Top Prospect Team (PG Sunshine Southeast Showcase & PG Atlantic Coast Showcase) and received the following awards: FB 80 Plus, OF 80 Plus, Top 10 Outfield Velo (6 of 10), and Sub 7 Sixty.
I played on the high school Varsity team during my Sophomore year. I pitched 28.2 innings, and ended the season with an ERA of 1.71 and 17 SO.
I found a home in center field early on, due to my speed and agility, and have worked to become one of the top pitchers in my area. I consistently work to challenge myself on and off the mound, whether it be practicing a new pitch, building strength to increase pitch velocity and exit velocity or coursework to build strength and remain flexible. I am committed to being a strong player both offensively and defensively and work hard every day to learn something new.
