As a six year old beginning baseball as a t-ball player, my dream has always been to become a professional baseball player. After graduating high school the next step to further my career would be to play at the collegiate level. I know that this would be the opportunity of a lifetime and I am so thankful that God has provided me with the talent and the drive to fulfill my dream.
Once graduated, I plan to attend a college that will not only allow me to play baseball, but will challenge my abilities on and off of the field. I would also like to attend a school that will be beneficial in furthering my education as an Electrical Engineer.
What separates me from most baseball players is that my coaches have always considered me a utility player. Wherever I can benefit my team the most, I will give 110%. I am a strong team player and possess strong leadership skills on and off the field. Work ethic and attitude are very important to me, having the ability to stay positive and continue pushing forward are key factors to winning games. I do not allow errors or strikeouts to affect my mindset going forward. Every individual pitch is an opportunity to make a play or score a run. Errors should be a simple reminder that we are not perfect, giving us motive to play harder.
Having the opportunity to further my baseball career at the collegiate level is a dream of mine. I can only hope to become a great role model, not only to young children, but to my peers, family, and other players as well.
