Personal Statement
Being a bit undersized as an athlete (5'8, 140), I've always had to work a little harder to excel and perform. I take a lot of pride in working hard and motivating others around me to work just as hard to achieve. I am very versatile as I can play many positions consistently. I feel very comfortable at a primary MIF, but can catch OR play some CF if needed. I also am proud of my speed and agility with my latest 60 time of 6.87.
I started varsity most of my high schools games as a Sophomore due to other players injuries and excelled even though I'd never caught before, but raised my hand once I saw there was a need. My junior year, I moved back to my more natural MIF position (SS) and started the first few games before Covid took over.
For my summer travel team, I am primarily starting at Second Base although I've caught a few games out of need. I had a very strong 17U year for the Nashville Knights 17U Premier team. I batted around 300 for the summer with a great OBP.
I'm not interested in a BIG or small school, i'm just looking for where I can be a good fit and a great asset to the program to excel both academically and athletically.
I'm looking for a college where I can 1)Determine what education and career path I would like to pursue and 2)Find a baseball program that appreciated hard work and dedication where I can join and be a leader both on and off the field.
