Colbey Johnson '20 Recruiting Profile

I am currently going into my senior year at Canton High School in Canton, TX.  I am a well-rounded utility player,  that will give 110% no matter where I'm placed on the field. I have a strong work ethic and a great respect for the game. If I'm not on the field I'm in the cage or the gym trying to get better. 

-CANTON ROTARY CLUB, acknowledged me as the Canton Junior High School Student of the Month  presented 18 day of February, 2016. 

-I was the only freshman to play on the varsity team coached by Jeff Priest, 2017 Canton Eagles 13AAAA, undefeated District Champions, , Regional Quarterfinals, season record 26-7. 

- My photo and write up was in the weekly Canton Herald paper on Mar 2019 as CANTON  BASEBALL  ATHLETE OF THE WEEK and again selected on May 20 2019 as CANTON BASEBALL ATHLETE OF THE  WEEK.  Our 2019 season was a perfect 29-0 record and the second overall ranking in the 4A classification. 

- I received First Team  All-District  nods from competing coaches at Short Stop 2018

- I received First Team  All-District  nods from competing coaches as a utility player 2019

I just want to continue to work hard and continue improving and be prepared for my senior 2020 season both academically and athletically.  I am a very coachable player who loves the game and the uniqueness that other coaches offer and teach.
