Chase Ragas '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Chase Ragas. I am a middle infielder in the 2024 class. I go to Cypress Park High School in Cypress,Texas. I have been playing baseball since I was 4 years old. My freshman year at Bridgeland High School, I was one of 150 Freshman trying out. I felt like I was overlooked due to size and did not make the Sophomore team. Throughout the following Spring, Summer and Fall I had to work my butt off just to have any chance to play for my high school. I accomplished that goal and made the high school JV team. That season I didn't get as much playing time due to the large roster but still ended up leading the team in batting (.454) and stolen bases (8). I made a difficult decision to transfer schools and attend Cypress Park High School. The coaches are AMAZING and enjoy teaching the game. They have helped me so much in the short amount of time that I have been at my new school. Players from other schools talk about how good the coaches are, not because of the team, but for their desire to help the players grow. I played for the Varsity team for my high school summer league team, I batted .462 in 26 AB's and 11 games. I had a total of 12 hits, 10 singles and 2 triples and drew 4 walks as a lead off hitter. I like to consider myself as a leader, hard-worker and a very competitive player. I would love the opportunity to continue my education and baseball career with you!!
