David Medina Jr '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is David Medina. I'm a 6 foot tall 3rd Baseman/utility/RHP attending Waltrip Highschool. I have played at the varsity level since my freshman year and have earned first team all districts honors my sophomore and junior seasons.  I was selected by Texas High School Baseball for 6A second team all-state second baseman my junior year, and will strive for all state first team my senior year. I am a good candidate for any baseball program I play for because of the passion and love I have for the game. I never take any days off because I am committed to getting better everyday and I have good work ethic. Whether its 30 degrees outside or 90 degrees outside you will always find me doing something baseball related. I am still getting stronger and faster every single day because I know I can never settle even if I see progress. The grind never stops until the day I retire from playing baseball. What makes me different from other recruits is that I take my academics as serious as I do playing baseball. If I can't have excellence in the classroom then there's no reason I should be playing on a baseball field. I am very coachable, disciplined and I listen and respect my coaches because I know they are trying to make me the best possible player I can be.
