Austin Preiss '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Austin Preiss. I will turn 17 years old in February 2014. I am 6’3” tall and weigh 175 lbs. I’m a junior at La Vernia High School and will start my second season on the Varsity baseball team. I also play select baseball starting with the San Antonio Hackers back in 2010. I’m currently playing with the Texas Titans and have traveled around parts of Texas playing in various tournaments and showcases. My primary position is Pitcher, but I also play first base and outfield. This past summer I had an opportunity to play in the WWBA 16U National Championships in Georgia. I also attended the Perfect Game South Underclass Showcase in McKinney, Texas where I was named to the 2015 Top Prospect List and Top Prospect Team. My greatest assets as a pitcher are my smooth mechanics, poise, and command of three pitches. My dream is to pitch at the college level and obtain a degree at a school with a strong baseball program. Wherever I end up playing will be a privilege, and I will work hard to contribute to my team and school to the best of my ability.
