Tristan Cavazos Reichwald '21 Recruiting Profile

My parents have been the biggest influence on the person I am growing up to be. They have taught and guided me in preparing me for the future. Fourth grade was when my interest in baseball began when I was invited to participate in a tournament. That’s all it took for me to fall in love with the sport. Shortly after, My parents enrolled me in the Boys and Girls club baseball program where I began learning fundamentals of the game, how to play certain positions, honed in on skills, such as pitching, and learned what it meant to be part of a team. During the baseball season, I learned how hard you have to push yourself to succeed, and I learned my personal boundaries. When I’m not playing or training for baseball, I am enrolled in advanced courses at my high school. I work hard every day to maintain high grades. My main academic goal in high school is to graduate top of my class with a competitive GPA, which will enable me to get accepted to a university with scholarships. Ultimately, I plan to work hard enough in baseball to earn sports scholarship and continue to play ball at the collegiate level. While playing baseball over the past 5 years, I have faced a few obstacles, such as injuries and health issues, but I have never let that hinder me from moving forward and working harder. I believe one of my best qualities is that I have the ability to learn things quickly in regards to baseball, academics and other hobbies.
