Personal Statement
I have been playing baseball since I was four years old. I love this sport more than any other sport I play. I started pitching the first year of kid pitch. My older brother was a pitcher, so I wanted to follow in his footsteps. Early on I was told I was a very accurate pitcher, not thowring many wild pitches at all. I have maintained that accuracy while trying to increase my velocity. I made Little League Allstars three years. I started playing with the Fort Worth Cats select baseball team the summer of my Sophomore year in high school and have been playing for them ever since. Pitching with such a good team of defenders was awesome. I have learned so much from the players I have played with on my select team. They are all so talented and have the same dreams and hopes as I do, which is to play College baseball and just to keep getting faster and stronger each year. I am a quiet person, who just sits back and takes it all in. I listen to what my coaches tell me and try to be the best pitcher I can be to help lead my team to a victory. I like to win. I am a good student, with an "A" average in school. I know I will do well in college as I have a strong, supportive family. I am young and I feel I am still growing and still have a lot to learn. I would be open to red-shirting my freshman year in College so I could have a year to just focus on baseball. I can't imagine my life without baseball in it.
