Kernie Baker '17 Recruiting Profile

I want to not only obtain a quality education, but play the sport I love while in college. I think my leadership abilities and my understanding of the game would make me a good candidate to be on any team. I take the game of baseball very seriously, but I enjoy having fun in the dugout with my team. I am also fully capable of balancing my academics and a rigorous baseball practice schedule. I feel like my years of playing baseball year round have helped me to develop my abilities to be the best I can be. My hard work was validated when I was the only freshman to make the High School Varsity Baseball Team as a starter at 14 years old.  Over the years not only have I pitched but coaches have called upon me to play 2nd, SS and 3rd base-solidifying my importance as a dependable utility player.
