Personal Statement
My favorite thing about baseball is having good relationships with my pitchers and making them look good - finding all the small things to work on to make the big improvements, grab the extra strikes, let them know they can depend on me back there so they can have the freedom to rare back and just throw it. I like to have fun and laugh, and in general I'm laid back, but I am intense about baseball. I like to talk and think about strategy, study the game and the players, work hard together with my guys to get better. Doing the little things well, hitting the weight room, focused practice and reps and seeing the improvement is very satisfying for me. My ideal place to play would be somewhere with a strong commitment to the pitching battery, where everyone is 100% in on team improvement and working hard to achieve set goals, and a coach with a detailed approach. I want to be surrounded by people who love the grind as much as they love the game, so that no matter where we are, we see progress, and no matter who we are, we bind together as a team. I plan to major in engineering or atmospheric science while pushing myself to become the best player I can possibly be. I am a strong student. I'm a man of my word and a team player - I will do whatever it takes to help the team move forward and contribute in whatever way I can to make it successful.
