Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Jadan Henry. I live in a small rural town in east Texas called Palestine. I started playing baseball at 5 years old. Through my years of playing baseball, I have had several great influencers and motivators as coaches. This has helped my love of the game grow, and gives me a strong desire to continue developing and playing this great sport. Every game helps me grow, whether a loss or a win, there is always something to take away from each one. The desire to always be better the next day than I was before, is what keeps me competing. I have learned how great winning feels, and I have also tasted bitter defeat, both give me the desire to work harder. My goals for academics in high school is to reach a 4.0 and be in the top 10 of my graduating class. No matter where life takes me, a strong foundation in education will always be a high priority. Once I am attending college, my goal is to receive a Bachelor's degree and pursue a career as a Wildlife Biologist. I love the outdoors, and enjoy hunting and fishing in my free time. One thing I feel sets me a part from other players is my ability to be coached. I listen to what my coaches are teaching me and I apply that. I have a great attitude and I welcome constructive feedback, because if you are going to play the game, you might as well be the best.
