Personal Statement
Competing in multiple sports and playing the violin has made me into the person I am today. I've pursued athletics since I was young and have played almost every sport you can think of, but baseball is my passion. I've loved baseball since I was four years old when my Dad signed me up for tee ball. Being able to run Cross Country, Swim, and play violin in my high school orchestra, as well as play Baseball, has allowed me to grow in my ability to work with others and sacrifice for the best of the team. Music has been a great way for me to relieve stress, learn to focus, and perform at a high level as part of a team. Playing baseball has allowed me to learn how much the goal of victory can push and drive a team. With this knowledge I am able to lead by setting an example of constant improvement for myself and the team.
My academic goals for high school are to graduate with at least a 4.2 GPA, improve my SAT and ACT scores, and graduate at the top of my class. I hope to attend a highly competitive four year university to build a strong foundation for my future.
An obstacle I've had to overcome was losing interest in baseball during my middle school years. I came so close to quitting, however I stuck with it and now love the game again.
My most critical skills are my leadership, teamwork, persistence, and self-discipline.
