Personal Statement
I have been playing baseball since I was four years old. A defining moment in my young career was when I didn't make an All Star team when I was 9. A local coach decided to keep all of his returning players and I did not earn a spot on the team. It was in the moment of finding out that I learned I would have to work harder to make the team the following year.
My philosophy on being a baseball player and always working harder to improve hasn't changed since I was 9. I have been slow and steady my whole life, only comparing myself to myself and focusing on what I need to do to become a better athlete, player, and sportsman. Years later, playing travel baseball, I continue to strive to improve every game in which I compete and in every practice I play.
