Personal Statement
As I begin the process of college recruiting my determination and goal of being a solid part of a college soccer program continues to grow stronger. I am a strong, physical defender and the team captain on my SOCA U-17 Elite team. I help my teammates solve problems on the field by consistently communicating. I have a strong soccer IQ, mentality, passion and respect for the game. Academically, I have great relationships with my teachers. I push myself choosing more challenging classes taking AP as well as pre-calculus honors. While in college, I am considering studying physical therapy or business marketing.
The biggest takeaway from my soccer career so far was when my SOCA U-15 Elite team lost in the State Cup Finals in 2015. Before the game I was more excited then I had ever been, determined to help bring home the championship. Unfortunately, we lost 1-0 and after the game I realized that I would have to work twice as hard to help my team get back to that position the following year. As I went through the year, I became a better, smarter more determined player. So far it has paid off. Now my team and I are in the quarterfinals more prepared that the year before.
As I grow as both a player and a student, I believe that my passion, determination and love for knowledge and the game of soccer makes me a great soccer recruit.
