Terrance Hubbard '22 Recruiting Profile

Thank you for taking time to look at my profile.  I am currently a Sophomore at Southwest Virginia Community College. I was a 4-year varsity letterman for the Baseball program at Honaker High School. I have played shortstop the last  two years I’m high school but I also have the ability to be a utility player at 3B, SS, 2B, RF, LF as well as a RHP.  I was honored to be the Team Captain my junior year and Senior year In high school. As a Junior I received All BDD Shortstop and All Region D Second Team.  I also competed 2 years in Varsity Football , was Defensive Back Captain and in both my Junior and Senior year received All BDD Defensive Back and All Region D Honorable Mention.  My senior year was cut short as I only played 5 games after suffering a season ending injury.  I believe in being the hardest worker on the team and lead by example.  I am usually the first man in and last man out of any practice and am driven to always be working on getting better.  While playing multisport, I was also a member of the BETA Club and FBLA and at this time have enough credits to graduate with an Advanced Diploma and graduated with a 3.9 GPA.  my first semester in college I carried 15 credits and have a 4.0 GPA. Second semester I have a 3.9 GPA.  I assist with community activities such as food pantries as well as the local little league programs to give back to the community.  As an example to my drive, 5 games into my football season I suffered a ruptured Achilles.  I have worked hard and I set a goal to be back on the baseball field with my team before March 18th I have exceeded all expectations in an effort to get back to the game I love. I did in fact attain this goal and instead of a return expected date of mid April I returned March 1st. I bring this type of drive and determination in everything I do.  I am completely healed and have used this time to gain any knowledge that can be received to stregthen my skill set.  I will outwork anyone to learn all I can about the game, to better myself and in turn better my team.
