- 2025 Top Prospects Carson Allen 1B - 2025 - Midlothian, VA Uncommitted Allen had a strong showing in the box. Fluid left-handed stroke as he goes after it with intent. Found a loud barrel during live at-bats. Glove also plays over at first base.

- Black and Gold College Prospect Camp Prospect Evaluation Prospect Name: Carson Allen Position: First Base/Catcher Bat/Throw: Left/Right Practice/Showcase Notes Defensively, Carson showed good actions at first base. Displayed a solid pre pitch routine and sure hands when fielding ground balls. Picked the ball well during infield defensive work. Made strong throws when coming off the bag and throwing to second, arm action was very loose and whippy which shows athleticism but also led to some inconsistency with accuracy. Offensively, Carson showed bat speed from the left side and made consistent contact during Batting Practice. Hips tended to slide out front at times causing weak contact on occasion. Drills/Recommendations As a young athlete the biggest thing will be establishing a consistent strength and conditioning program now, this will pay off immensely as he continues to grow and develop into his frame. Focused long toss will improve arm strength and create a more consistent arm path. Offensively, making sure to put an emphasis on turning behind the ball to get to contact rather than sliding forward will create more consistent hard contact. Overall Carson showed very well and has immense potential if he continues to work hard and stay passionate about the game.
