My name is Kole Register and I live in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I am a pitcher for my varsity high school baseball team and for the Richmond Braves 17u showcase team and the Tidewater Orioles 17u scouting team. I attend and play baseball for Frank W. Cox High School which is part of the competitive VHSL 6A South Region.
As a freshman I earned a position on the varsity team towards the end of the regular school season and became a starting pitcher at the beginning of my sophomore year. During that year, I earned the 6A South Region Coastal Conference Honorable Mention as well as the #757MVP award. During my most recent junior year, I continued to start for Cox High School and pitched to win both the District and Regional championship games. I am very competitive and strive to constantly be improving myself and I put in lots of hard work and dedication to make sure I succeed. My persistence and determination have helped me reach and maintain a first pitch strike ratio at or near 80% and I have never allowed a single home run. I am ground ball pitcher and I have mastered many different pitches, not just two or three like many of my opponents and I believe this allows me to keep batters off balance and most importantly - win games.
My goals over the next year are to prepare myself to play in college and to find a school that is the right fit for me. I would like to pursue an education in physics and/or engineering and hope to find a college where I can play baseball and pursue this type of degree and even get drafted. With my competitiveness and hard work ethic, I look forward to working hard with my college coaches and teammates to win baseball games and earning a great education.
