Jake Armstrong '23 Recruiting Profile

I am a committed student-athlete who has been in love with baseball since before I was old enough to play the game. I have been playing sports my entire life, but baseball was always my first love and will continue to be until well after I hang up my spikes. I get excited just talking about the game!

I would love to attend a college where I can get a great education, as well as continue to play baseball. I want to grow both academically and athletically, and I am hoping I can achieve this lifelong dream of mine by working hard, dedicating myself to school and sports, and taking time to enjoy what life has to offer me.

As a senior this year I was voted a team captain and words can’t express the pride I feel knowing I get to wear this badge of honor. I plan on working even harder to continue to be a captain and I know it will make me a better person, and player. 

My dad is a retired officer from the United States Air Force, so he has ingrained their core motto into me: integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do. I truly believe if I can follow this simple motto I will succeed in life and on the baseball field.

My mom has taught me too many things to list, but she has shown me what hard work, sacrifice, and dedication mean.

Between my family, friends, teachers, coaches and teammates I feel like I have an amazing support system who will help me continue to work towards my dream of being a college student-athlete. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile.
