My name is Colin MacMurray. I am a part of the graduating Class of 2023 from Dolores Silas High School, formerly known as Wilson High School. I am 6'2" and 195lbs. My primary position is catcher but I also play 1st and 3rd. I play for Garciaparra Baseball Group (GBG NW Swoosh) when I am not playing high school baseball.
My goal is to continue to play baseball in college as well as earn a degree in Sports Medicine. I would be a great candidate for your team because I am willing to put in the work necessary to get better and improve my skills. I am a great teammate. I have a great work ethic and am coachable. Playing with integrity is very important to me. I have had a lot of great Coaches over the years who have taught me not only the game of baseball but about life and what it means to be a great man. I am looking forward to having more mentors like that at the next level.
I have loved baseball since I was 5 yrs old. I am looking to be matched with a school that can help me achieve my goals both academically and as an athlete.

- Colin lowered pop times and showed solid defensive skills during his time at the Pre-Season AA. He sits in athletically and shows playable hands and feet. He has athletic actions, he plays with energy, and he has a clean exchange with solid direction to 2nd base. At the plate, Colin has a tall/athletic stance, good balance, and he makes square contact. He can spray to all fields, finds the barrel, and he works the middle well.

- Colin is an athletic, strong catcher who has a promising future on the diamond. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. Quick lateral movements allow him to center/deaden pitches in the dirt off a soft chest. Receiving / blocking skills show as outstanding tools that will play well at the next level. Runners will not want to test his arm (82 mph) with impressive pop times of 2.19. Offensively, he continues to shine with solid hitting abilities with well above average power potential. He has athletic/smooth actions with fluid rhythm to load. He gets good hand separation and delivers the barrel with leverage, resulting in a barrel explosion (84 mph exit velocity) with the ball screaming off his barrel. With 2 years to further develop, Colin has a big upside and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.
