Personal Statement

My name is James Kollasch I will graduate from Clinton, WI high school in 2012. I deeply wish to play baseball beyond a high school level, while achieving a degree either in Anatomy or Business Management. I am willing to look into any type of college that offers the academics that I am looking for with a good baseball program. I am currently (5/11/10) 5'10" and weigh 165, I am a left-handed batter and pitcher. I am an excellent hitter with a short, compact swing and the speed to get on base and the awareness to get all the way around. As an outfielder I have learned how to get a good jump on the ball and the mechanics to get a good fast throw back to the infield. I also have a lot of experience at first base and catcher. I have been a team leader since I first started playing at the age of 4. I have always looked to the next level of play, taking advantage of every opportunity to improve my skills. I have had a wide variety of coaching and I am very coachable. I have an excellent academic record, having been on the Honor Roll through Middle School and High School, and I am also a member of the National Junior Honors Society and president of the Future Business Leaders of America chapter at my school. Please contact me if you believe that I have the characteristics that you are looking for.
