Lydia Childers '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Lydia Childers, I have been cheering for 4 years, and I was a competitive gymnast for 7 years. After giving up gymnastics, competitive cheer became my new home.

I have been a member of my high schools Varsity Competition, Gameday, and Sideline cheer squads all four years. I have been a huge contributor to my team in all aspects from tumbling and stunting to stepping up and being a leader for my teammates to follow. This is also my third year on a worlds level Allstar team. I cheer at the Stingray Allstars in Marietta, Georgia where I am on their level 6 large all-girl team, Orange. I also cheered on the Stingray Allstars Peach the past two seasons as well. Being a part of these high-profile and very successful teams has taught me the importance of teamwork, grit, and hardwork. I spend around 18 hours in the gym each week, and I love putting in the work to become a better athlete each day on top of staying committed to my school work by maintaining my 4.0 gpa to stay at the top of my class.

I am very passionate about cheerleading and the sport has given me a drive and determination like no other. I am looking forward to continuing my cheer career in college and working hard to be the best assets I can be to any team!
