Amelia Singer '24 Recruiting Profile

I have always loved gymnastics and tumbling since my parents enrolled me at the age of two to help get out all my extra energy.

I continued tumbling in High School to further develop my skills. I have level 3+ elite tumbling skills. I attended Circus Camp for many years and practiced several different forms of aerial arts including acrobatics and stunts. I initiated and recruited for a cheer training class for High School students at a local gym in the winter of 2021-2022 and moved to East Celebrity Elite for the 2022-2023 season. I wanted to train at the highest-level competitive gym I could find. East Celebrity Elite is one of the top ten cheer gyms in the country. I commute an hour each way to train but I do not mind the drive as I love the sport. 

 I have a passion for learning. Just within the past year I completed a 5 month course towards my Emergency Medical Technician certification, completed my lifeguard certification, and renewed my license as a Massachusetts State certified referee. 

 As a gymnast, dancer, soccer and tennis player for many years I have always participated in several sports at once but cheer has quickly become my favorite.  I love how it challenges your entire body and mind. I am looking forward to the opportunity to continue growing my stunting and tumbling skills and cheer at the collegiate level. 

My favorite thing about cheer is the energy of the sport and working closely with the team to achieve success. I bring a love of athletics, perseverance, and a desire to excel in my next challenging opportunity. I have tumbling skills such as standing back handsprings, round off back handspring series, and round off back tucks as well as standing tumbling. I am currently working on higher level skills now in my tumbling classes.
