I’ve been cheering since the age of 7. Although I have no tumbling skills, being a cheerleader means to me that you have the ability to show spirit, leadership, no fear, and self discipline. In the Pop Warner organization, my ability to lead my team to a global and grand champion title, as head captain showed that my talents, my dedication, and my mentality taught me this what a real cheerleader is. From there on, I stopped letting my athletic ability define who I was as a true cheerleader.
