My name is Valeria Colato. I'm a Junior in High School and on a Level 4 at Competitive Team. I'm part of the Media team at my School and I love art.
From a young age, I was drawn to the exhilaration and teamwork that gymnastics and cheerleading embodies. These sports have taught me the value of hard work, discipline, and perseverance. Gymnastics and Cheerleading has instilled in me the ability to remain composed under pressure and to perform at my best in high-stakes situations.
I started gymnastics at 4 years old and competed in the Excel program until I was 15 years old. I was able to participate in the State and Regional Competitions and won three years in a row. State Champion and 3rd Place for Regional Competition.
After 9 years of gymnastics I joined the Cheerleading team at my Middle School Cheer team ( Vista Middle School) and the All Star Cheer Club (Rideretts). I had been part of my Highschool Cheer Team ( Centennial High School Varsity) and Steele Athletics-All Star Club Cheer for 3 years. participating in State, Regional and World Competitions. One of my biggest accomplishments has been winning the ASWC World Championship 2023 in Orlando Florida for Level 4 Open Coed Team.
Cheerleading is a sport that requires synchronized movements, impeccable timing, and trust in your teammates. I have learned to work closely with others, relying on each other's strengths to create breathtaking routines and inspire the crowd. The bonds formed with my teammates are not only based on shared goals but also on mutual support and encouragement, creating a sense of family and unity.
Cheerleading has provided me with numerous opportunities to contribute to my community and develop leadership skills. I have had the privilege of representing my team in various community service initiatives, where we volunteered our time and talents to make a positive impact. These experiences have reinforced my commitment to making a difference and have shaped me into a well-rounded individual who values both athletic excellence and community engagement.
I am confident that I would be a valuable asset to your cheer team, both in terms of my skills and my dedication. I am ready to push my limits, embrace new challenges, and contribute to the overall success of the team. I am committed to excelling academically and balancing my responsibilities as a student-athlete, ensuring that I make the most of the opportunities presented to me.
