My name is Skyler Fortier, I'm 16 years old and a junior in high school. I was a competitive gymnast for 8 years and went up to level 3 before switching to dance. I did competition dance for another 8 years while also doing high school cheer starting my freshman year. Last year I started doing all star cheerleading at Elite Heat Allstars gym and currently still am. My team is a level 4.2 but my tumbling and stunting skills are more advanced and continue to grow. I am also on the North Tonawanda Lumberjacks varsity cheerleading team and was pulled up to varsity my sophomore year. I am very committed to both my high school team and all star team and I always give %100 at every practice. I also plan on being captain of my high school team my senior year as I have good teamwork, work ethic, and social skills. I currently also have a job and do some community service. I stay on top of everything and have been apart of a team like this almost my whole life. I am very experience with preforming and it is my passion. Academically i have always been a very good student with mostly straight As although, during covid year I fell behind some. I also have experience with coaching younger teams for dancing as well as cheerleading. My goals are ultimately to become very successful with owning my own business and possibly continue to cheer even after college or coach a cheer team. I plan to major in business and entrepreneurship. Cheering for a college team would mean a lot to me because it is what I love to do and I could continue to do it while furthering my education.
