Alessia Bartholomew '25 Recruiting Profile

         My name is Alessia and I am currently on the Northport High School Varsity cheer team. My main position is a Flyer who can stunt and tumble. I am a passionate, coachable athlete that puts forth 110% into learning new skills and being a positive influence on my teammates. I am a multi skilled athlete that includes but is not limited to martial arts, gymnastics, and cheer. I believe that this training noticeably sets me apart from others. I have competed in many competitions between gymnastics and cheer, some of my greatest accomplishments is winning 1st place at the 2023 Garden State Regional Cheerleading Championship and winning the 2023 Section XI All County Award in cheer. Being a competitive athlete from such a young age, I have learned how to compete in front of large crowds without getting nervous. I believe that this shows great leadership and athletic skill. 

          My first year doing cheer in the 7th grade I had the privilege of being pulled up to the Northport High School Junior Varsity Cheer team. I am now on the Varsity Cheer team and I am looking forward to receiving a total of four Varsity letters upon graduation in the year of 2025. By practicing hard in and off-season, I am constantly looking to improve myself either through private lessons, working out, or watching film. Not a single day goes by where I don't improve myself in some way. 

        I have always held myself to a high standard academically and understand that I am a student before I am an athlete. I have worked hard to balance this with my athletics. I will continue to push myself in this aspect this year as a junior. I envision my college years to be a personal growth period both academically and athletically. My goal is to explore a Criminal Justice major that will position me well for my future career path to become an attorney and persue a career in the FBI. 

          I am a well-rounded athlete and would make any college and team very proud. I truly believe that I can benefit every college program. Cheer is my passion and it is my dream to cheer and compete at a college level. Whether it's cheer or academics, I always put forth my best. I am looking forward to collaborating and working hard with my coaches and teammates for the rest of my high school career and after!
