My name is Anne Marie Krebs, I have played field hockey for as long as I remember. My mom played in college at Kent State, and has mentored me through all my years. I was on the varsity field hockey team as a eighth grader this year, under the old assistant coach of University of Louisville, Olivia Netzler-Gray. The year after my high school team, Christian Academy of Louisville, won state I joined the team. Our coach didn’t plan for us to make it very far this season because we have just lost some key players, but we ended up doing better than expected. We went into over time with the state tournament winning team and lost, but played really hard. In the end we lost in the semifinals at the state tournament, but we learned a lot on the way. Playing with older highly-skilled players really helped me develop my skills and grow stronger as a all around player. Thank you for taking your time to read this, and I hope you take me into consideration!
