Personal Statement

My whole life I had hated sports. I never saw myself playing sports in general, let alone in college. Then I moved from my childhood home, and felt inspired to try out a sport and I found field hockey. I just fell in love with it. It inspires me to push to my limits and try my very best whenever I can. It has helped me feel that I have a place in the world. If I was on a college team I feel that I would be able to put out a positive and welcoming environment as well as continue to get better. In the short while I have been playing I have improved so much, and I really have been able to put in the work and the effort needed to win, and get better as a player, teammate, and as a person.
