I love playing field hockey. I try hard to listen to coaches' recommendations and incorporate those suggestions right away. I think I am highly coachable and a very supportive teammate. I think coaches should know that I had a freak injury to my pinky -- the ball smashed it as I was holding my stick -- during the first weekend of the season last Fall which caused me to miss most of the year. I am 100 percent healthy now and am excited that my season is off and running. I played in a number of camps this past summer which reminded me how much I love the sport. We started this year with the Gateway Tournament in St. Louis over the past weekend. I scored a goal on strokes in our 3-0 win. We went 1-1-1 overall, tying the eventual champion 0-0, and losing our final game 3-0 against some pretty good competition from St. Louis.
