Melanie Kovacs '18 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Melanie Kovacs. I am a senior defensive field hockey player at Manalapan High School in New Jersey.  I am currently 17,  5' ft 4" and weigh 135 pounds. I am also an accomplished National Honor Society student with a 4.25/4.6 GPA Unweighted. Not only do I excel in school and athletics, I also participate in many other activities in my school such as Drama Club, Choir,  many charitable clubs and I also play guitar. My freshman year I was a starter on JV,  and during my sophomore,  junior and senior year I have been a starter on the Varsity Team.  I am a very driven and motivated individual, and I give 110 percent in everything I do, especially in my journey to develop into a better player. I would love to attend an University where I am given a chance to have an education that can prepare me for a life beyond Field Hockey, studying Political Science and Environmental Studies.  My goal for the future is to be a starter on a College Level Field Hockey team and to develop into a well rounded student athlete, who excels on and off the field.
