Like most, my life was changed by the COVID-19 pandemic. When I heard that my volleyball season was cancelled, I decided to try out for field hockey. I was incredibly nervous having not played before but quickly fell in love with the game. Within weeks I was pulled up to play with my school's varsity team and put heart and passion into every practice and few games our team was permitted to have. I currently play for the School of the Holy Child in Rye, NY, and New York Hockey Club. I consider myself to be a good athlete because of the mental and physical strength I have to keep pushing myself to work better and harder. I also love working with my teammates and putting in the effort to make our team great.
